In an effort to get more kids out on The Arizona Trail I have teamed up with the Arizona Trail Association to have three rides on different sections of the trail this year.
The first ride is set for the weekend of February 21-22 from Colossal cave SE of Tucson. There will be FREE camping at Colossal Cave where you have access to the trail. I’d love to set up a dinner on Saturday night as well as an Saturday afternoon ride, possible night ride and ride on Sunday. This section of the AZ trail is a little technical from the camping, but with a short shuttle ride there is some very friendly single track.
Please share this with others who have youths and might be interested. It will be great to get a rough head count. The Campground at Colossal Cave Mountain Park has only 30 drive in campsites and we need to let them know this week how many we are expecting.
